Wizkid Planning On Using These 9 Ways To Attack The Weekend On Twitter

With all the Twitter drama of Tuesday, October 11, 2016 which saw Wizkid’s fans yap on and on about The Weeknd having stolen the Ojuelegba crooner’s Star Boy ‘name’, it behoves us to soften the mood with some humour here and there because life is already hard enough as it is.

You see, Twitter has come to be known as that social media platform where people go to get stuff off their chests and in this day and age of economic downturns, it is only natural that all attention will focus on Nigerian music as entertainment is perhaps the only thriving part of our nation as it is.

Blame it on the drop in oil prices, or the fact that the government is too busy trying to recover stolen loots and prosecute former serving officials for running the country as though ‘stealing is not corruption’.

Whatever the case, Nigeria is sinking today with her economy lacking even the most basic features needed to thrive.

So yea, with Wizkid and his supposed ‘drama’ with The Weeknd over allegations the latter ‘stole’ his brand name or whatever, below are 9 likely responses Wizkid could have had if it degenerated into a ‘tweet fight’.

1. He would have told The Weeknd how much money he has, even though there are reports he doesn’t own that four-bedroom duplex at Ayinde Akinmade in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

2. Then maybe bragged about being the original ‘star boy’… because Fela’s protégé and all.

3. He would probably then add that he single-handedly made Drake’s first ever Billboard number 1 in One Dance… even though all he did was hum for a bit on the 2:54 seconds song. Plus, he actually didn't appear in the video meanwhile Kyla did.

4. He could also have thrown a bottle at the American star… using a GIF of course, because of course it is online and only a ‘tweet fight’ plus there are no actual champagne bottles and whatnot.

5. Wizkid could also have copied Drake on Twitter so The Weeknd realizes there’s actually a bond between both men.

Fuck the system. We came to take everything!!

6. Then maybe drop more hints of the new collaboration they both have in the bag.

7. For avoidance of doubt, Wizkid could also brag about being more street-smart… because Ojuelegba.

8. Somehow, if the talk veers towards women, we know who is winning… because baby mamas and whatnot.

9. Lastly, Wizkid could remind The Weeknd that he knows influential people outside music including Tinubu, Saraki, Fashola and Adenuga among others.

But our Nigerian music star knows better and with reports he has sealed a new deal with Sony/ RCA, he possibly won’t be involved in all that social media mischief anymore.
