Chelsea Is Said To Sponsor Nike In New Deal
This deal represents the largest commercial deal in the club’s history. The length of the deal and the terms have not been immediately disclosed, though reports had speculated the deal to be more than $70 million a year.
Chelsea had been previously fitted by Adidas, a partnership that began in 2006 and still had six more seasons with the company, those six more seasons will be bought out by the bigger Nike deal that will begin next season.
Nike will produce strips for the first team, Academy and Ladies teams, as well as a full range of clothing for the club’s supporters around the world.
After losing Manchester United and Arsenal to Adidas and Puma respectively, Chelsea become only the second premier league team currently signed to Nike.
